Peace with God

My dear friend, Tom Barker, wrote to me about peace. Here is what Tom believes.

“I am troubled by trying to separate “world peace” and “personal peace with God”.

First and foremost, “God’s Grace grants me personal peace”. God gave man the ability to think for oneself. If man only thinks of himself, there will never be world peace (in my opinion).

Money, power and a class system (and it is worldwide) will prevent world peace. God created man in his own image. Man on the other hand has taken his ability to think for himself, to empower himself without using the references in scripture to the contrary.

I guess to summarize, the people of the world would have to change. If we have all these different ideas (including religious differences) about who and what God is, we will never put forth the single idea that world peace is possible.

God’s Grace and Peace is for everyone who will accept Him and his Son.”
