Trudging up five flights of stairs with boxes, bags, groceries, and my tired body at the end of the day.  Sometimes I wonder why I moved to a third floor apartment…

The sunrise was absolutely beautiful this morning.  I looked out my rear view mirror on my way to work and couldn’t believe the sight.

…ginkgo leaves.  Interesting shape but a drab, monochrome yellowish color.

There is this popular phrase today that is tossed out often.  It is “It’s All About Me!”  I often use it myself generally with a smile on my face. 

All those things we don’t like to do and don’t want to do.  All those shoulds in life.  I often grumble when I have to go somewhere especially overnight. 

“The city loves me. Even the stop lights are concerned with my health.”

How often don’t I go through the motions of the day – hit snooze on the alarm, shower, breakfast, feed the cats, work, home, dinner, feed the cats,  set the alarm and bed…

They reside not too far from each other on the color palette.

They smoothly blend, bond and beyond.

Zombie Craze! I was drawn into the lives of the survivors.

A 2 year old’s favorite question seems to be “why.” Isn’t it ours as well?

The words “Be Still My Heart” immediately came to mind as I put my hand on my heart.

What a journey.  A journey with a great purpose.  To see all 4 of my grandchildren and especially meet my newest grandson Imran.  

In this week’s Gospel lesson (Luke 9: 28 - 36) Jesus took a journey.  

Often I put up fences and even walls around myself. I work hard not to, but sometimes it is necessary for preservation I think.

I have thought about that phrase a lot as I get to the end of the day and my elbow hurts and I pop the Advil into my mouth; as my soul hurts from distresses…
