Defeating Hope?
“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.” – Bernard Williams
Nights can be difficult. In the silence as I attempt to fall asleep, all the weight of the world, and my world, run through my head on a loop that never seems to end. Yet, I’ve learned, like this quote reminds me, that the sunrise always comes after the night and things look so much better. Often I don’t even think about those problems that were so pressing during the night. It’s as if the sunrise dissolved them, wiped them away. And because of hope, those problems can and will be resolved one way or another. So, I never give up the promise of a sunrise or the hope the Spirit has embedded in my soul. May you as well feel that promise and that hope.
