We always want what we can’t have and then wonder why we wanted it when we get it.  I’m grateful for a God who clutches on to me and doesn’t let go even when I want to be let go. 

They describe God as “Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light.” 

This orange cat is both a joy and a disturbance.  I take a shower and the moment I set my foot upon the bath mat as I get out, the orange cat circles my leg purring leaving an orange, furry anklet around my clean foot. 

Today my prayer for you is that you feel the light and love of Christ in your life. May you feel the warmth that light gives.

As I pause because my orange cat’s paws are trying to pry my fingers from the keyboard….

Trudging up five flights of stairs with boxes, bags, groceries, and my tired body at the end of the day.  Sometimes I wonder why I moved to a third floor apartment…

The sunrise was absolutely beautiful this morning.  I looked out my rear view mirror on my way to work and couldn’t believe the sight.

…ginkgo leaves.  Interesting shape but a drab, monochrome yellowish color.

There is this popular phrase today that is tossed out often.  It is “It’s All About Me!”  I often use it myself generally with a smile on my face. 

All those things we don’t like to do and don’t want to do.  All those shoulds in life.  I often grumble when I have to go somewhere especially overnight. 

“The city loves me. Even the stop lights are concerned with my health.”

How often don’t I go through the motions of the day – hit snooze on the alarm, shower, breakfast, feed the cats, work, home, dinner, feed the cats,  set the alarm and bed…

They reside not too far from each other on the color palette.

They smoothly blend, bond and beyond.
